Ever wondered how to create an Insta-worthy kids room that your little ones will love as much as you do?
Recently we had the pleasure of collaborating with product stylist and mum, Alicia, of Hudson and Harlow, and we love the two different looks put together for Hudson’s bedroom. We chatted with Alicia to find out all about her go-to style, tips for styling a kids room and her favourite picks from our winter collection…
How would you describe the style of Hudson’s room?
The theme of Hudson’s room is Nordic Wilderness. I designed the room around the snowy mountain wallpaper.
We love the two different looks created - can you talk us through your picks from our winter collection?
I chose the Tree Tops quilt cover because it suited the style of Hudson’s room and it matched the wallpaper perfectly. I chose the Veneto quilt cover because I’m loving linen at the moment. The added bonus is that it’s totally reversible so you can get two completely different looks for the one price.
The Ruffle Chenille throw adds texture and warmth to the room, while the Margot Velvet cushion adds a pop of colour.
What changes do you love to make to the room for winter?
I love to add more layers by adding chunky knit throws and changing the bed sheets to flannelette for warmth.
What are your best tips for styling a kids room?
Keep the wall colours neutral so it’s a room they can grow into, and add colour with bedding and decor. Just by changing these things, you can completely change the look of a room and it doesn’t break the budget!
What are your go-to sources of inspiration?
I get a lot of my inspiration from Pinterest, Instagram and home magazines.
